Horrible place. I worked there , they didn’t offer contract, staff abused the residents and the manager covered them, many times i reported the abuses but they always covered. Don’t go there please if it this possible because there it’s the extermination

Carmen and Andrea, the manager and deputy, are amazing.

The care they provided to my stepdad in his final months made him very happy and I know they became friends. This means a lot as he had trouble making friends during this time.

Carmen, Andrea, the other nurses and carers came to visit my stepdad at the hospital and were very sad when they realised he would not be coming back to them.

I am glad we chose Baron's Down out of all the nursing homes as it felt like we were all part of the family. We regularly visit, even though my stepdad is no longer with us. Mum is now volunteering because of the excellent care and friendly atmosphere.

I can't put into words how grateful I am for them making the final months of my stepdad's life full of joy, it was not easy.

I have worked many homes over the years but never needed to use one for a family member, unfortunately the time came for my grandmother and we found this hidden treasure. My grandmother Nelly is with them for end of life care and wow the staff are just wonderful. To all of us. We can come and go as we please just like we did at nannys house, they have made this unsettling time as comfortable for nanny for us also. We can even dine with her, bring in nannys dog , she has a lovely room with doors onto the garden. The care givers are attentive, gentle , funny, and soon become like family. I don’t know how long we have at Baron but I am glad it is here with these guys. If you are worried about where a loved one will go and want some where that will be home from home then this is it .
