I've taken both the 200 hour Hatha Yoga teacher training and the Yoga Nidra training with Bahia and it's one of the best decisions I've made. The studio focuses on authentic Yoga and has taught me so much more than I could have ever imagined.

It's become a huge part of my life thanks to the influence of Jasminder and the team of amazing people I've met along the way. I moved to Nottingham in September 2021 and went straight into my training, the sense of community on the trainings and support offered helped me settle in and feel at home here.

If you're looking for a calm, comfortable studio that respects the origins of the practice, I cannot recommend enough!

Think three times before you sign up for their Yoga Teacher training courses. They are very unorganised and unprofessional. The lessons never followed the schedules. They would ask if they can cancel a whole day's lesson for whatever reasons, with an extremely kind and sweet smile, so you can't say no nor feel frustrated. Of course they would say they will make up the lesson for another time, but that will never happen. Also, be prepared to be insinuated at if you are from another country and your country holds a different political views to the UK's. Even if you were merely there to learn about Yoga and did not mention anything about your country or anything related to politics. I would also suggest you to not get anywhere close to them if you do not have a decent job, unless you want to be indirectly insulted by them. (and of course they would not dare to do that directly to someone.) They obviously think Yoga is only for the rich and those from the "higher classes". You spend money to learn Yoga and make yourself feel better. You don't spend money to let people make you feel less confident about yourself!!

I have taken regular classes and workshops at Bahia yoga for the last 10 years, and also undertaken their 200hr teacher trainer course. They are an authentic yoga school who focus on quality teaching and embody the values of yoga.

My first class with Jasmin was incredible. I had been practicing yoga for some time, but her class was a completely different experience. I cannot fully articulate but I can say it was much more than only a physical practice, although Jasmin is really attentive to your movements. She is also a very generous and kind person. The other instructors I had classes with are all well qualified too. I think the people in the studio compensate any short coming that the physical space can have.

I love to practice yoga with Bahia Yoga. I find all of the teachers to be supportive and encouraging and it has a real community feel, this encouraged me to undertake my own teacher training with the school, which I found to be invaluable - real life-changing experience.

Personally, it feels like 'home from home' for me, even when I haven't been there in a while. I find it to be a very special & relaxing place and so I was surprised to read the 1-star review below. For anyone who finds the booking system complicated, I would suggest to get in touch with the studio because they are so welcoming and always happy to help.

There is always a wide-range of yoga classes, trainings and workshops and so I subscribe to their newsletter and keep a check-in with the events calendar.

This Yoga school really lifted my spirit with its online classes during lockdown. The teachers are really lovely, very knowledgeable and have a calming aura. Would highly recommend. Can’t wait to attend another workshop in person

Booking system really confusing, seriously disorganised and they're unable to communicate with students effectively about what the terms are (even after emailing them for clarification.)This results in your being asked to pay twice for classes etc. Eventually I got a refund, but it was accompanied by a passive aggressive email thanking me for my "negative views". There are better-run and more professional yoga schools in Nottingham than this. Don't waste your time or money here.

I recently completed the Yoga Nidra training -beautifully lead with the space to teaching, practice, reflection and fruitful conversation. It was a wondeful nurturing experience and so glad I picked the studio to develop my practice with
