Nice and big venue space as you can see from my photos. Can hold a large amount of people in here. The stage is a decent size but for large stage productions you might struggle. People have had to dance on the wooden floor in front of the stage in the past. The stage lighting is below average. It would be wise to bring your own if you are planning on organising a dance or stage show of any kind. Facilities are kept clean and tidy.

The club was good but we played in the other pitches which are poor. Poorly maintained, miles away from the club and sit on a hill

If you're looking for a swanky wine bar then Askern Miners Welfare isn't for you. If you're looking for a casual local club with cheap drinks then the Welfare is where you should be. We had my Mum's 60th birthday party here and had a great night. The concert room is fairly old fashioned but with a bit of decoration it looks really good. We had the club arrange a buffet for the party and it was good, with a nice selection of foods all prepared well.
