I never thought I would ever have to write a bad review for someone, but here it is.
For several months, the doctor on duty refused to examine my child because the symptoms were only a runny nose, cough and vomiting as a result of the cough. Of course, every time he advised me to give Calpol so that he would not feel discomfort from the cough, not to spend money on cough syrup and to monitor whether he drinks water and whether he eats. On Monday I received the same instructions from the same doctor, saying that the flu is like that and to wait a few more days. Three days later (today) the child got worse, we had to go to a private clinic and it turned out that both ears and throat were inflamed, as a result of which he has a high fever, sore eyes, vomiting and he is not eating at all.
It's good that there are other clinics we can turn to, I don't know what would have happened to my child if I had done what the doctor in question told me once again.
If you're reading this, Abbey Wood Surgery, please change the order of doctor visits for children. Health is no joke. Thank you.

RUDE & VILE doctors & reception staff. The abuse they give out to patients is disgusting. So happy I left. They need to be investigated. Formal complaint to the manager does nothing as she claims "nothing like that happens here"

Latest update: just to say that my most recent experience was again excellent. I was able to speak to a Dr very quickly and he was extremely helpful.

I wanted to share my experience since the reviews I've read seem pretty unfair. I've only had good experiences with the Dr's and reception staff so far. They've always been professional and fairly prompt to handle any queries I've had. They even proactively contacted me about a flu jab. I went in today with my daughter to have hers and mine at the same time. Very convenient and the Dr was fantastic with her. Very friendly and handled her very well.

The reception crew was incredibly kind and helpful, and the booking system was simple to use at 8:00am.The doctors and nurses are excellent, not to mention that the doctor I visited was really thorough and helpful in calming my worries. Another thing I adore is that you can now obtain a callback instead of having to wait in a long phone queue! Outstanding.
While listening to my symptoms, the doctor discussed possible treatments. The general practitioner (GP) exuded warmth empathy, provided a comprehensive explanation of alternatives, and conducted a thorough analysis.
Regarding a situation I was having, the GP was comforting, listened intently, asked insightful questions, and provided insightful answers. He called me back later to provide further details. The doctor was really kind and took the time to gently reassure me, and for that I am grateful. In appreciation of the care, consideration, and assistance I and my family consistently receive, my spouse and I would like to thank the whole workforce at Abbeywood Surgery. In spite of the pressures, I think this is a fantastic practice where everyone tries their hardest to deliver exceptional service.
Thank you so much.

Please do not register here. The doctors and nurses are very rude, dismissive and arrogant. They will do the bare minimum and treat your health problems, especially mental health problems like a joke. This place is absolutely appalling.
It is almost impossible to get an appointment, waiting times are extremely long. They will say to call at 8am in the morning and when you finally have a chance to speak to someone after waiting so long they will still not be able to offer an appointment. The surgery is open from 8am to 6:30pm and get the e-consult requests will close for the day by 9am each morning. Making it practically impossible to get appointments even if you wake up early as there is always a long queue.

If you try and chase up health issues that have been dismissed then the GP surgery will treat you like a nuisance, even dropping calls and failing to listen.

If your serious about your health please don’t register here.

After a year of stress and bad treatment from this GP I have finally had the last straw and registered for another GP.

This doctors have gone down hill. Can’t get an appointment anymore and having to wait for a doctor to call back just to see if the problem is serious enough to go and see the doctor. But they are quick enough to get you an appointment for asthma clinic or quick enough to call to say you are over due for a check up blah blah blah!! They need to sort it out.

Can't fault this practice. Never tried to call at 8am but econsult works very well with a callback on the day usually - a couple of times followed by an appointment with a GP on the day too (for children). I did an econsult at 3pm yesterday for my young daughter, day before Good Friday, and got a callback at 17:30 from the GP. A massive change from our previous practice on the Arsenal in Woolwich... (Impossible to call, impossible to get appointments)
