Swinton Country Club and Spa - Ripon

Booked in for a full spa day on a Saturday. Excellent treatment and lunch but didn’t even get near the pool as all the loungers were ‘reserved’ by peoples’ towels and books. Very busy presumably with hotel guests. Lunch area in spa is effectively an air lock between the pool area and the stairs to the changing rooms with people passing through constantly. Not a particularly relaxing experience and certainly not worth the money.

We came here while we were having a short break in the area.
This country club has a huge amount to offer everyone.
We first just came to have a look and inquire about visiting the grounds.
The staff in the spa reception were extremely friendly and helpful.
Gave us all the necessary information and details.
We asked if there was anywhere we could go for refreshments and we were nicely directly to a bar area
I couldn't resist a port and a latte
Again the staff were pleasant and helpful.

The following day we visited again and paid a very small fee to walk around the grounds.
I've shared a gallery of photos as well as some from the stone circle which isn't at the hotel but quite close within there land.
It's all beautifully maintained

The walled garden is quite vast
For a affordable full day or half day this is definitely a place to visit throughout the year
Sometimes you just find these gems from time to time

A stunning place to visit with some beautiful walks in the grouds available throughout the year but we like to go when the daffodils are out and when the rhododendrons are in full bloom (I'd recommend swimming in the lake in the summer!) The Spa and Hotel staff are an absolute pleasure to be around, so helpful and friendly.

Had an excellent half day spa experience and lunch here. Great facilities and staff. Not overcrowded at all. Good amount of parking. Lovely walk round the gardens afterwards. I’d come every weekend if I could!

Only downside was the service at lunch (on The Terrace) didn’t live up to other aspects of the experience.

Had a full body scrub and massage treatment from Sue and it was heavenly!! Cannot wait to return.

What an amazing place Swinton is. My mum is a member and when I visit from London she uses her visitor passes. Have been going to Swinton for a few years now and it's just perfect in every way; incredible facilities, truly delicious food at restaurant and the staff couldn't be more professional. It is actually one gentleman Taff there why I feel compelled to write this review after all these years; when we visited last Thursday during Christmas period, it [at least seemed in the brief moments checking in and out and by the pool] that Taff was pretty much running the Spa by himself. Even though all the staff there set a very high standard on normal days, I must say I was particularly impressed at the warm welcome Taff gave and how diligent he was in his duties keeping the pool area clean and tidy; didn't seem to be phased at all that it was Christmas holidays and after brief chat it really seems to me he will make a great team leader one day as he some genuine passion for the work and takes true pride in everything he does. Staff like that are incredibly rare. Hope that feedback helps and look forward to my next visit soon!

Stopped for the night on the off-chance of a room while passing through. Welcome was amazing and couldn't be more nicer. Extremely helpful and accommodating with our 2 dogs. Amazing service and meal at the terrace restaurant. Friendly and helpful dog loving staff and other guests.

Although the spa facilities are lovely and kept to a high standard,
it is not the case with the on-site treatments. My partner had booked a 'bespoke' massage for 60 minutes, cost at £120. The high price point of the service did not meet the quality expected. The masseuse was highly unexperienced and the technique unfortunately inexistent. The massage didn't last 60 minutes and felt rushed.

I shared my feedback with the team but unfortunately no response was received or interest given in their customers' satisfaction.
