I would highly recommend you avoid signing up to this place. It needs a massive overall and new/more equipment (and a change of layout!). They are always running out of sanitising wipes - which of course is concerning. They’re also only open till 8pm during weekends, which shows that they care more about the staff vs their paying members. Most people don’t bother with the pool/sauna/stream room facilities, or classes so they should offer a membership to accommodate those who are only there for the gym and nothing else , since £80 is a ripoff for the little in return you’re getting. No need for a copy & paste response from the Nuffield management please.

Price goes up every year however the hygiene gets worse by the day! Places is hardly cleaned properly, the showers stink, steam room is broken once a month! Mens changing rooms are out of order once a month! Roof is leaking the next month! Seriously this place needs looking at!

Had a really great experience with Matty Hickson membership advisor. He was very friendly and gave useful information, has lots of knowledge about the gym and other local gyms in the area, he answered all the questions I had.

The gym facilities are below average at best (e.g three flat benches for ~5000 members!) and are virtually unusable at peak times due to the lack of equipment. Anyone serious in training should look elsewhere.

Hygiene is also poor, they got rid of paper towels (available in most £20 per month gyms) for sweat etc citing environmental reasons. Someone should inform them that paper is both recyclable and biodegradable…

Most of the staff are great but the gym is seriously understaffed and it’s not uncommon to find NO staff on the gym floor on Saturday afternoons and Sundays which raises health and safety concerns. What really lets this gym down though is the poor management of the PT service. For the price paid (~£80 per month membership and (£40+ for a PT session) the level of customer service is poor. I had to wait on average 7 days to hear back from my PT on booking sessions. I raised this with management but sadly got no response back.

I feel that this gym really lets the Nuffield brand down and has been seriously let down by its current management. Their lack of response to all reviews posted speaks volumes.

I have never been so disappointed with a gym before. This place doesn't even deserve a one-star rating. It's a complete waste of money. First of all, they constantly have issues with their facilities. The jacuzzi is always closed, and they even had the audacity to change the men's showers to family-friendly ones. Who wants to shower in a communal area with kids running around?

And let's talk about their pricing. They charge an exorbitant amount of money and the services they offer are not even worth £20. I could get a better workout at home for free. On top of that, they keep changing the gym hours without any notice. I mean, seriously, since when do gyms have to close at 8 pm on weekends? Are they a supermarket now? People have jobs and they should be able to come at their convenience. The standard closing time on weekends should be at least 10 pm, and on weekdays, it should be 11 pm.

Overall, this gym is a joke. It's like a cheap supermarket pretending to be a fitness center. Save your money and find a better gym that actually values its members.

Do not join this gym for yoga classes! Great teachers and lots of classes but the studio is next to cycle studio and weight area. When doing yoga all you can hear is the base from the gym and during certain classes the noise from the cycle studio next door.

In steam room in ladies area, small titles fall from the ceiling.

Such a shame, staff also don’t seem interested with feedback!

The main reason for me joining this gym was to take advantage of the Creche facility so I can train whilst leaving my little boy there. I cannot fault the Creche, staff and nursery are lovely.

Unfortunately my low star rating is based on the weight training area and the changing rooms. Everything is a bit tired, rundown, and the gym area specifically is often a mess (weights and equipment everywhere), and sometimes unclean and smells bad. For the premium price I'm paying to attend I'm disappointed and will start to look elsewhere for gyms with Creches.

Due to injuring my knee in May, I have been receiving on-going physio for around 5/6 months at Nuffield Health and Matt has provided an excellent service. He was very knowledgeable about what the injury was and how best to approach the recovery, and there was always a science and reasoning for what we were doing. He gave me a structured workout to target areas of muscle weakness and later on brought in some balancing tasks to help give me the best outcome, and my knee has since made a full recovery and I am back out running 10kms again. Thanks very much for your patience and hard work Matt!
