The whole general practice in the UK is terrible thanks to the Tories.

The doctors are good here even when they mainly send you back home most of the time to wait if it gets worse, clueless. But the worst by far is the appointment system. Ridiculous. They don't have it online. The reception team is nice and attentive. They have now a Physiotherapist and that's fantastic. But loads of room for improvement.

We need to find a way to secure more funds for our general practices to recover decent services!

July 2024 update Newest review: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dr Ahmed was wonderful on Thursday 18th July 10:45. Kind, helpful and really informative. She really listened and I would definitely see her again if I could. Also had a pleasant appointment with Dr Jones in June 2024, went out of his way to make sure myself and my partner were seen to with our concerns. Even squeezed me in the next day to take my bloods himself! Really happy with Ashcroft for these great drs! Thanks again.

Jade the receptionist was so so helpful. She immediately helped me out with a situation, she is an absolute credit to the Ashcroft Team. Thank you so much.

3 hours I’ve been waiting on the phone now for 3.5hours , I’m calling coz I can’t afford my life saving medication and need to make a claim I hear that staff here just unplug their phones and sit there, I can fully believe this after trying to contact them

A good doctor’s practice. It’s clearly challenging times for many GPs, but they’ve always seen me when needed and I’ve no complaints with their treatment. The 8am calling queue for an appointment is a bit daft, but it seems like standard for many GPs.

Only positive things to say based on my experience. It’s difficult to get through first thing in the morning (but what GP surgery isn’t?) Where it’s something serious they always do their best to get you in on that day and also refer to out of hours if needed too. Recommend the practice

My GP told me that I should go back to India for treatment every 6 months and not waste British tax payers money. I kept saying that I have national Insurance and he kept repeating how I shouldn't have come here if I knew I need regular checkups for my adenoma. I wasn't well at all and he made my visit very stressful for me. I felt more depressed than before I visited the clinic. I am not sure if he was being racist or does he even have a right to tell a sick person that. Utterly disappointed.

The care I have received here has been great - the doctors and nurses are so caring and really listen. Dr Frame especially took time to reassure me and give the best information possible. The only problem was one of management - trainee doctors on rotation were not removed off the system quickly enough which meant my prescription went to the wrong inbox, and I had to go to the surgery twice to get it - by then it was too late to get the medications before the weekend. Thankfully, I had just enough to tide me over! I will leave a much bigger margin next time 🙂
