I am a previous patient, but now have regular contact with this surgery regarding my grandads care (with permission). The reception staff over the past year have always been really friendly and helpful. They take the time to answer any questions and check the system for further information. It is much appreciate- thank you ☺️

Staff here are experts in medical gaslighting.

I’ve been very ill for several years, I finally had an appointment with a specialist who put forward a list of recommendations to the GP to manage my care - such as a referral to respiratory for my uncontrolled asthma. When I phoned the GP to have the recommendations actioned, the GP Dr Simms said ‘I think these requests are ridiculous don’t you?’ I had to make a further appointment to see a different GP to get my referrals actioned which meant more of a delay in my treatment. This is an unacceptable way to speak to a patient who is simply seeking treatment to improve their quality of life, which has been negatively impacted for several years by their illness.

I also saw the first contact physio at this surgery who didn’t treat me, dismissed me and said the pain I was experiencing from my bone deformities is ‘all in my head’ and I only experience pain because I ‘think I’m going to be in pain’ implying that exercising a misaligned and deformed joint doesn’t hurt. This is confirmed to be untrue by several hospital specialists I’ve dealt with. I am in fact, in pain.

The final straw for me was when the GP refused to see me for a flare up of my asthma, saying they could only see me several days later which is extremely dangerous as my asthma flare would have been untreated. I had to pay for private care to get the steroids I needed. I have left the surgery due to repeated poor treatment and medical gaslighting.

Worst doctors ever. Constantly issues with the women doctors in here messing medications up. Always a woman doctor without fail. Absolutely sick to back teeth of me having to ring up and complain. This doctors causes more stress than anything and because they don't help. You're left finding other ways to deal with your illness which then puts you in danger. This is a shambles of a practice.
This doctors has made me more ill than helped. The anxiety and stress this place causes you is unbelievable.

I have a pain illness which causes me extreme pain and for no reason at all my pain meds have been withheld for an entire week.
I've explained over and over that I have insomnia so I take the pain meds of a night too.
Not just in the daytime. So I use more tablets. Sick of having to repeat myself.

So now I'm left in extreme pain for an entire week... So I guess I'll have to find another way to get pain relief which could harm me. This doctors is a disgrace. There's only one good doctor in here so far. Shame I cant have him dealing with my meds all the time. Its always the same woman doctor causing so much grief for me. She needs sacking. She clearly hasn't a clue what she's doing.

Keep telling me if I need help to come in at 8am. I can barely walk!!!
They have you standing outside in the cold like animals.
I had to sit on the cold damp floor last time and got sick because of it!!
Then after being there first.... I had at least 15 people who qued after me get seen before me!!!! Disgraceful. Shame on you!!!

Receptionist doctors and nurses get bad time it's not their fault country is on its knees!! I'm absolutely gutted I'm having to leave this surgery! Thank you for all you've done over the years!

Unhelpful receptionists, Not helpful one bit and very patronising considering NHS 111 had advised to visit this GP on referral. Turned away and told it wasn't important and sarcastically offered to fill out a complaint form. No wonder you cannot get a appointment with a GP. Will ge changing doctors ASAP.
