Absolutely dreadful. Called at exactly 8:30 on hold for an 75 minutes to be told no appointments and I need to go to minor injuries unit. I have never been able to actually get an appointment with them and have been a patient for over a year. We are also increasing our life insurance and need a doctors letter, we have been waiting over 7 months despite numerous calls from me and the insurance company asking for it and still nothing. Avoid this surgery at all costs, just terrible!!!!

VIA TELEPHONE
I was held 2nd in a call holding system for 31mins & 49secs. I saw an advanced nursing practioner who stated an important letter would be written and would be ready for collection 4 days after my visit. After 7 days I called to enquire where it was. After many excuses, it transpired the Nurse had indeed composed the letter but the secretaries had failed to pick it up from the stytem and type it up. At 12pm today I asked if the letter would be typed and ready to collect. Annette could not confirm "what do you want me to do," she said. Well for starters, an apology would be nice.

If you live in Wadhurst, this is the only surgery available, so whilst the surgery is failing, there are no other choices.

Today's exoerience was appalling BUT my in person visit the previous week was excellent, albeit I was kept waiting for 45mins post my appointment time.

Going downhill!
Sent text to book a blood test. Booked. Cancelled while driving there. Reason for the blood test not stated. When I got there, turned out to have any material indication (ie: tick box exercise) + no option to have meaningful tests added.
A waste of patient & staff time, money (&petrol).
Pseudo-service, not useful clinical practice. Please do better!

Waited 6 weeks for an appointment for a simple test. Finally it was referred to the appropriate centre and I was told I would be contacted shortly - nearly 3 months ago. I have contacted Wadhurst surgery to establish either what ‘a short time’ means or for the name of the centre. Also I have made a formal complaint but that takes 40 working days to have any outcome.
Basically if you don’t have private healthcare you no longer have health care in the UK.

I was able to pre book and appointment with a senior nurse to talk me through HRT. Was given time to explain how I was feeling not a rushed appointment and felt listened to and understood, thank you.

This used to be a good GP surgery until Dr Blackburn retired. Since then, it's no longer fit for purpose. After 9 years in Wadhurst, I have now had to use a private GP since it was utterly impossible to get through to the surgery (was No. 19 in a queue, waited for 55 min and gave up). How is this acceptable?

Awful if you have long standing condition as no fixed gp
Staff at desk are unhelpful, rude and always have someone else to blame when things go wrong.
Not good, don't understand why they don't just close. The village could use the extra parking spaces anyway
