Capita (Team who process RAF applicants medical) requested access to my medical records from this surgery through a written/electronic report/summary. It has taken them 9 weeks for this to complete after multiple electronic correspondence and eventually raising it as a complaint to their practice manager which was ignored as I did not receive a response. While I understood that they are extremely busy and that the nature of my request was not a priority, I believed that 9 weeks to complete few pieces of paper is lengthy and unacceptable. As my application was overdue and subject to return back to RAF, I had to resort to contacting ICB who was my last and only hope for this surgery to action my request. Thanks to ICB who intervened and my request was finally actioned. I just wished that they are as fast at processing requests as they process their invoices. I am a nursing colleague and potentially serving the country if I successfully get through my application. It is extremely disappointing!

Phoned at 8am this morning to look to book an appointment. Got straight through to the automated booking system. After a few minutes I had an appointment for this morning which was excellent. I then received a call a few minutes later from one of the Nurse practitioners (Coral?) who went through my symptoms very quickly and arranged for antibiotics to be sent to my local chemist this morning, I can collect from 9am.
Outstanding service, it means I do not need to attend a face to face appointment and it free's up my time slot for someone else. The new automated system (assume it's new'ish as I havent called up for an appointment for a while) was excellent and the friendliness of the Nurse Practitioner was really appreciated. Thanks!!!

My elderly mother has been trying for months (literally) to get an appointment to see her doctor. The best she seems to get is the assurance of a telephone appointment, and even that has failed to materialise recently. She is not in good health and I am at my wits' end. How can a doctor make a diagnosis or alter her medication without looking at a patient? I spoke to a lovely, very kind receptionist (as my mother was getting nowhere) so this is why I give it a star, but nothing has happened. If it wasn't for the waiting time in A and E (this would be painful for her) I would take her there, so at least someone would see her. My father had brilliant care from this surgery, but this is truly terrible.

For two days now I have tried to get through and I've had the same automated message. On day one I called over 100 times and called at 18.15 to be told the surgery is now closed when it closes at 18.30. All I want to do is to talk to someone about my ongoing illness as something has happened and is this normal

I would like to thank Ann who helped my friend with her Ms appointment. They have contacted her to arrange someone seeing her. This would not of happened if it hadn't been for you Ann. Thank you for caring.

If this "doctors" surgery was a school, it would be an academy and closed by now. Avoid at all costs
