Our 90 year old friend was admitted to this hospital just last week. Unfortunately her 1st night there was spent in a corridor but she said everyone was very kind to her and looked after her very well. She continued her hospital stay in a bed on Majors until Saturday. Once again she has stated how very kind everyone and she means everyone has been to her and how well looked after she has been. I was with her on Saturday afternoon when the doctors visited her to discuss her progress etc. I was very impressed by how very kind, respectful and attentive they were to her. The nursing staff also. Mary and her colleagues whose names I do not know. This unit is a credit to the hospital. Spotlessly clean and very organised and running efficiently. Patients continue to be cared for in corridors unfortunately which is no easy task for staff but they are doing so to the very best of their ability and treating patients with care, kindness and dignity. Thank you to all of you.

Excellent midwifes. I would not have been able to carry on with my labour in the way I did if it wasn’t for Peace and Elena (in the midwives ward) who were absolute stars. They kept us monitored and motivated me at every stage, but most importantly, I felt their devotion to delivering babies safely. I will always remember them!

My husband is a frequent flyer at various uk hospitals. He is currently in the William Harvey hospital Ashford. He was so poorly that we were called to his bedside to say our goodbyes. Thanks to their fantastic care and listening skills he is now making a good recovery. All the staff are friendly and polite and so helpful! Nothing is too much trouble for them both clinically and socially.

Unfortunately just before Christmas I had. A heart attack. But fortunately I was treated by some of the most impressive clinicians, nurses and support staff out there.
I can't thank them all enough - 1) for treating my condition and 2) for how they treated me.
Thank you to the 50+ that looked after me and probably loads more that do jobs in the background that you don't even think about.

Had appointment today with breast clinic. Saw Doctor on time, she sent me for mammogram and ultrasound. I was given the results straight away and fortunately my lump was not cancer . I was in and out of the hospital in about an hour and a quarter. All the staff were friendly and professional, and I feel that I had wonderful service from the hospital.

I was taken to hospital because my knee had tripled on size for no reason and the pain was unbearable. From the moment I arrived the care was exceptional. Every member of staff that I saw was very caring. I was given morphine for the pain, x rays to check that the diagnosis was correct before they drained 2 big syringes of blood from the swelling

We were lucky enough to have 2 very healthy happy births at this hospital, but from the sounds of it we were the lucky ones...the midwifes we had both times were incredible. Although after the birth of my 2nd, my husband had to keep finding staff to ask for pain relief as the staff kept saying it was coming, but would then disappear for hours at a time and forget...It's plain to see they're desperately understaffed there, most of the staff are genuinely trying their best with what they have. The rest of the hospital is an utter s*** show however. I had to have a breast scan & biopsy recently, my appointment was at 10am and i spent FIVE HOURS waiting around to be passed from pillar to post. Nurses were lovely, however I was spoken to terribly by the consultant who put the fear of god in me and had no bedside manner at all. I had to chase the results up 3 times as they left me waiting for 5 weeks! Thank god it was benign...this hospital needs a massive shake up.
