Yes it’s a monotonous wait but the monotony comes primarily from peoples unrealistic expectations of what a “free” 24/7 centre to see a healthcare professional is.

The wait was long but I was seen to by Dr Guntupalli who did a great job.

Trying to get a GP appointment is just like getting blood out of a stone so had to visit the walk in centre twice this week due to my son having a ear ache, on Monday we arrived at 340pm and were seen within 40 minutes with advice on giving paracetamol, ibuprofen olive oil drops and to come back if the pain persists. Wednesday morning at 845am I decided to take him back as the pain hadn’t get better and was now disturbing his sleep we were seen at 950am and given antibiotics

This review goes to the nurse from Latvia Eliona for her wonderful attitude towards people and especially towards children. She was really professional and helpful and we were very pleased to be seen by her. People like her are needed in all services and especially when it has to do with health. Thank you Eliona.

Had to take my dad in as GP let us down to diagnose a chest infection. We went up on Friday early evening, saw three staff members who were all professional and very kind in taking time to ask questions and understand what had happened. In and out in an hour and thirty minutes. We could not fault the service given on a busy night.

Depending on your situation you have more chance seeing a Nurse and not a Doctor. Turned up last night as I needed to see somebody as I was constipated for 3 weeks 🙁 after 3 hours I saw a Nurse not a doctor I wasn’t checked over just given a prescription for laxative, the Nurse looked as she didn’t have a clue what she was doing, typed out my situation on the computer and somehow it disappeared so she had to write it all out again any advice thy was given was read from the NHS web site on my situation. The system seems a bit of Micky mouse set up and it’s more about waiting and stressy people and stressy staff.
