We stayed at Happy River last summer for the most grounding and other worldly weekend of nature and healing. We plunged in the ice bath and warmed up in the sauna overlooking fields of deers. We had a wood fire hot tub in our private mini meadow, and the craftsmanship that went into our wooden abode was breathtaking. We would wake up and open the side door and sit on the perch and watch the chickens and listen to the morning birdsong with coffee. You can tell how much love has been poured into the grounds here. The host family, Rachel, Robbie and their daughters River and Sky are the reason it’s so special - a slice of magic, quiet and escapism in a busy modern world. We can’t wait to visit again. Thank you!

We had a wonderful, relaxing time in the cosy cabin at Happy River. The real fire in the small room was the centre of everything, creating such a warm and lovely atmosphere. The sauna was just a short walk away, the hot tub was great, and waking up to snow in the morning was such a nice surprise! We even had a stay-in cat who approved with her relaxed behaviour.

My daughter and I made some lovely memories, shared wisdom, and felt like we stopped time for five days. Rachel and Robbie were so lovely and welcoming. Thank you so much, and all the best!

Wow such a lovely lovely lovely birthday experience. Tucked away just 5mins away from wareham high street we found the happy river forest sauna. The setting felt like something out of a fairytale.

Robbie was so welcoming and informative and it was fantastic to have a cold plunge and shower facilities with the sauna.

I would definitely recommend and can’t wait to revisit when back in the area for a sauna or one of their retreats/makers space!
