It's an absolute waste of time visiting this surgery, God help anyone feeling ill or needing help! To be honest they don't care or even bother to listen to your problems you'd have more help visiting a plumber!
The waiting rooms are empty but they don't have time to help you!
The latest cock up with my visit to this surgery is that I needed stiches removed I waited and waited in the waiting room no one else there, I could hear the nurses but still no one came to call me in!
Having been let down manytimes over the years I gave up went home and removed my own stiches!
Shamefull service!

Even taking into consideration how underfunded and overworked the NHS is, and I can assume the staff here are, the quality of patient care is abysmal. The Econsult system simply doesn’t work, admin and appointments can take months to go through, communication just gets “lost”and so many times things have just been “forgotten”. This is happening with everyone I know. You, as expected at this point, cannot get an appointment no matter when you contact the practice. I can’t understand how this group is allowed to run or how any patients are getting basic care. There’s a level of patience and understanding with the chronic underfunding and overwhelming patient numbers I am sure they’re struggling to deal with, but there is so much fundamentally going wrong here. I’ve completely lost trust in this practice group and sadly don’t feel comfortable having my general health and well-being dealt under it anymore.

Parking is good. Service seems ok (my partner uses this surgery and hasn't had any issues yet) only issue is the e-consult for the whole of Mendip Vale surgeries doesn't work correctly

Since doctor Ali joined the local practice I have noticed a massive difference. A doctor that truly cares and follows up with things.

In terms of the practice itself. I recently had the need for urgent care from the practice and this was really good too. The triage process is a bit painful but again this is out of the practice’s hands. That said they usually stick to the 72hr response time and provide updates and next steps as needed.

Of course there are things that can improve, but I think we can all understand this is due to the massive underfunding of practices and NHS.

Doctors, nurses and reception have always been helpful and professional . However, they need massive improvement on booking system. E-consult- waist of time(maybe the doctor reviewing the message may actually read it, no just replying to ring the practice). Phone calls to book appointments or to return a call are absolutely ridiculous usually with waiting time more than 30min . Phone call appointments never work if you work or live somewhere with a poor phone signal and I usually end up being told that I missed my appointment and have to book a new one. Then again sitting on the phone for 30min. Don't know who has that much time to sit on the phone during a working day. Usually ending up by being told to book a same day consultation that only possible if I go at 8am the next day. Guess what time I start work. Not sure if any practice in the area is better, but so you know what to prepare for. Why don't they just introduce a 21st century booking system and not waste everyone's time on the phone. What about all these people who cannot just pop to the practice at 8 h in the morning, because they work. Not to mention the insanely small amount of appointments available.

I had an appointment at 12.15 on 24.4 I registered on computer check in at 12.10. By 12.5I was still waiting and decided to speak to reception. She contacted the Dr by message who came out immediately. She had no notification of my presence & waiting.
The Computer Book in system is not good enough

Mendip Vale should be struck off. We need a new doctor invited to take up residence at the Congresbury surgery. Congresbury was always for years an excellent surgery, until mendip vale managed to take it over so they could shut it down. Now, I sit in a queue for 30 minutes on the phone just for them to tell me to fill out an econsult. The econsult told me I need to phone and speak to a medical professional. 30 minutes of waiting later they decide I have to go to the Pharmacy, where the pharmacist looks confused and a little bit embarrassed that she is being asked about something that, in her words "I Don't know what they expect from me, because I am a Pharmacists and not a Doctor" and agreed to refer me back to actually see a doctor.
Utterly farcical. If it wasn't healthcare, it would be a hilarious sketch in a Monty Python episode.
Three days later and I have still heard nothing back. I hope if I eventually get an appointment that it will be in Yatton, because at least the 45 minute walk to Yatton surgery has pavements, so although taking about the same distance to travel to as Langford, I am significantly less likely to be run over and die. Very glad I'm not old or infirm, as the walk to Yatton (a villiage without a single bus service) would be impossible. I think technically there is a bus service in Yatton, so elderly patients seeking a doctors appointment would have to get a bus into bristol, and one of the service of one or two buses a day that go to Langford. Inexplicably, despite having worked so hard to take over our Congresbury surgery, Mendip Vale are not offering transport to patients who miraculously do manage to get an appointment with their GP somehow.
Mendip Vale must be struck off and its senior figures banned from working in healthcare in the UK.
Congresbury surgery must be reopened and be an excellent surgery where you can phone and get a same day appointment without any ridiculous hoops like it was in the 90s and 00s, before these incompetent vandals took over.

Mendip Vale do you not realise e-consult does not work!
People that are ill would find it difficult to complete the e-consult online form!
People that are not computer literate can't complete an online e-consult form!
People living with dementia would have major problems filling out the online e-consult form!
People with learning difficulties would be unable to fill out an online e-consult form!
In a nutshell, people that are ill, are living with dementia, have a learning difficulty, are not confident using a computer or just find this ridiculous form difficult to fill out, are all pretty much excluded from getting an appointment at your practices.
We are not just patients we’re customers as well and deserve more than just e-consult.
If there are other options, your staff never mention those options when talking to them about requiring an appointment
