The surgery used to have a system where you could book an appointment online, pick your time and GP, just scroll through the available options and pick your time and GP, and that was brilliant, now they have introduced anima to reduce the amount of appointments, (and it's working) tried to book an appointment with it today and after 20 mins of what seemed ridiculous questions I gave up, I'll be phoning up tomorrow, everything about the surgery has gone downhill since Dr Kapur retired.

Most of the GPs don't listen to patients, read the notes or care, they just want them out of the door as soon as possible. The new anima system gives them even more opportunity to fob off patients and prevent them from accessing needed medical care.

13/3/2024 21:19 - after being fobbed off by the GP and being told this morning I don't need to be seen for 2 weeks. I have now been admitted to the cardio ward in the hospital.

What a breath of fresh air this surgery is! I’ve been with a Wickersley surgery all my life and through no fault of my own I was taken off of the patients list…not their fault either apparently! The receptionists at manor field have been so kind and so helpful from the word go. Called at 8am as instructed to the day before and got straight through, didn’t have to hold. By 8:08am Dr Hussain had called. She was absolutely lovely, she listened to me while I explained everything and I’m picking up my prescription this afternoon. Cannot believe how easy it has been. A massive difference to my old drs. I only wished I’d moved sooner. If it was my old doctors I’d have still been on the phone now 6 hours later! Thank you.

I just need to say I have been a pain to this surgery the last few weeks ( it’s my parents surgery)
I have had nothing but care and compassion and action on every call.Jill and Annette have put up with my tears and sorted out all our needs as well as showing concern and kindness and compassion.
I’m sure I’ve spoken to others too but can’t remember their names, sorry.I have worked in the NHS for 34 years and the service this practice has offered me has been outstanding.I thank you and the wonderful Dr Mellor and not forgetting the pharmacist and all the ladies in there, you have gone above and beyond , Thankyou x
