There is one particular receptionist who somehow seems to get ruder and ruder , she just doesn't help at all ,unbothered. I thought she was just rude to me until i was there quing up and the way she spoke to other patients was just as bad , one lady walked away in tears. I always come away upset because I just can't believe how someone can be so rude ,especially a receptionist who's job is actually to help. Honestly I do not know how she still has a job there. The practice must be aware of this receptionist because the amount of complaints in these reviews are manly about the receptionists rudeness. I have and we as patients have put up with this awful receptionist for years yet nothing has been done about this situation, I have put off doing a review about this year's ago ,but today I decided to do one, this particular receptionist needs to do a coarse in customer/ reception care . Clearly this is a big issue within the surgery and needs to be addressed asap.

Very disappointing, poor and rude service. After waiting long time to get connected with prescription line. First don't want to understand the point of call and keep repeating themselves. After that saying I can't hear you and hung up. Lost my diabetic prescription slip the other day and first don't believe I sent and then said send it again. Not to mention leave me without my medication due to that. All over all seriously letting down with service.

So after being a patient here for over twenty years, I needed an urgent appointment only to be told i had been struck off earlier this year as i didnt respond to a letter i never recieved!! No call or text just struck off. So after now having to use out of hours gp and driving 40 miles when ill to see a gp i have to wait a further 2 weeks until they will allow me an appointment All this along with rude reception staff doesnt make for a great place to visit!!!. Poor show

Booked multiple phone appointments with no one ever calling me.

They’ve moved to an online system that clearly they don’t know how to use (or don’t want to!). Either way, shocking service. Receptionist rude and unbothered.

For what it’s worth - did have one call regarding medication a few months ago and the GP was lovely and very professional.

The surgery was unable to fit me in at a convenient time to have bloods taken which my Haematologist had requested. Admittedly it was a late request but I really, really didn't appreciate the sarcastic comments (she repeated the same comment) spoken to me by a receptionist. PLEASE remember admin staff we, your customers, telephone you when we need help.

I’ve only given one star as you can’t give no stars. Receptions rude. Appointment system ridiculous. Doctors all locums. Now asking myself how I can change my doctors surgery. I really wouldn’t try registering with them if I was new to Abingdon.

Virtually impossible to get an appointment if you need to see a dr the same day.
Their advise is to go to the pharmacy or A&E - for issues like a suspected chest infection all you need is to see a GP to get antibiotics. Can Pharmacist do that? And why would you go to A&E and waste their time when they are already inundated with patients.

Have tried to see a doctor twice in the last three weeks. Was told no appointments that day or any other day. Had to ring 111 and see the out of hours doctor as I needed antibiotics. I have not seen a GP face to face for years deliberately avoiding them to lighten their load. I am appalled and extremely upset by this state of affairs. It used to be so much better - I can't even get a telephone appointment!
