Myself and family have personal had good experiences here since we joined last year. It was the inky practise around that opted to take us in when we moved to the area. We usually get appointments within reasonable time and get same day call back appointments. Plus the staff are always nice to us on every visit. I hope this good experience continues.

I wish I could give a zero star rating but I can't. I've had many many issues with this health centre over the years and after today I've decided to remove myself from this joke of a doctors and go elsewhere. I agree with most of the reviews here, you are spoken to with distaste and treated like you're an inconvenience. My prescriptions have been unfulfilled more times than I care to count, including a prescription I placed to cover my medication over the Xmas period, still showing as 'being processed', not great as type one diabetic, thankfully I have a wonderful pharmacy who have made sure I have the medication I need. The appointment system is an utter joke. Call first thing in the morning, sit in a queuing system for an eternity only to be told all the phone appointments are gone. If you're lucky enough to get a phone call from a GP then appointments are even more scarce. Even in excruciating pain, despite a course of antibiotics after a hospital admission, I still couldn't get a phone call. So, unless you're on deaths door, or can see into the future and plan a good day to be sick, steer clear of this GPs surgery. Over subscribed with miserable receptionists.

Honestly, I just cannot cope with this surgery, their inefficiency or their awful management anymore. I often work abroad, and in the past, I could request 2-month prescriptions for my daily medications for when I would run out during my travels. On the NHS, you can request up to 3 months at a time. This surgery for more than a year has refused to give me more than a month at a time due to their management policy. The doctors actually told me I needed to contact their practice manager as they weren't allowed to give it to me. This is absurd given that the practice manager isn't even a medic. This policy has meant me running out of my medication while abroad (in the US) and either having to go without it or having to buy it locally (in places like Italy where I was allowed to do so).

For years, I've encountered nothing but problems with their often rude front-of-house team and I've finally had enough and today, I registered at a GP that accepts out-of-area registrations, as Marcham Rd was our only choice based on our postcode (what a joke). If you can avoid them, I would at all costs. Some of their doctors are great... if you can get in touch with them and if they aren't thwarted by their management. I suspect things will improve for everyone (staff and patients alike) when the manager eventually retires.

(Also, note: I was registered with them for 17 years... and after my regular GP retired a few years ago, there really has been less and less reason for me to put up with the atrocious behaviours and attitudes.)

The worst practice I've ever attended. They refused to provide me with my repeat prescription when I moved area even though I hadn't yet registered with a new Dr and explained over the phone that I had almost run out of medication I take daily. Had to call 111 to get my prescription filled. (Both 111 and the new surgery said this practice had been in the wrong, as they have a duty of care!) There are regular difficulties and misunderstandings with this surgery. They have lost letters, information regarding diagnoses, they have failed to update health records after appointments, their customer service over the phone is terrible, and they charge a large fee for Drs filling out external forms (one of which came back practically illegible.) An unfriendly and unproductive surgery

Absolutely abysmal! You have to phone up on the day to get a medical appointment, Where you have to wait in an ungodly lengthy queue to be told there's no appointments left for the day and to call back tomorrow. I had an appointment letter from NHS advising me it's time for my son's annual vaccines, I've called to book an appointment and the next available one is 4th September (today's date being 6th August). Honestly, the practice is shocking. It's safe to say we are looking for another GP surgery ASAP. What is the point in being registered at a GP if you can never be seen?

It's not a shock that they only have a 2.7* review... and I personally think that's generous

I have been with this Practice for 24 years and I have always had very good service from the doctors and staff. I am very grateful to the exceptional care I have had over the last year when my health wasn't so good. The doctors, nurses and staff have been kind and caring. They have helped me to help myself with good advice, referrals and practical care. I highly recommend this practice.

This doctors is by far the best doctors I have ever used (I've had 4 previously due to moving).

They are so helpful and from the front reception desk, pharmacy and of course the Doctor.

I have seen Dr Young on a few occasions and can honestly say she makes the visit pleasant and comfortable- as you know some places you are pushed out of the door. She even carried out a check up appointment via telephone.

This doctors does not get enough credit and I was shocked at the reviews because my experience every time has been no issue at all.

Thank you for taking the time and caring for your patients.

Difficult to book appointments!
Long waiting, never see the same doctor twice, never tell you results or actually get the problems fixed!
