Never fail to disappointed where getting an appointment is concerned.
When I have managed to speak to or see a nurse they have been very helpfull.
I have a face to face appointment with a doctor after waiting 5 weeks.
Frequently get no acknowledgement for an email, never sure whether it has been recieved.

I have been a patient at Glenlyn for 40 years and have always received courteous, professional advice from the doctors, nurses and reception staff alike. The Centre has been going through a transitional phase in recent months, but the doctors I have seen have maintained the high standards of medical care, based on evidence. It is not difficult to get an appointment [using the excellent online facility], provided that you don't mind which doctor you see - and why should you when your record is on the computer? I can recommend this Practice.

I called this morning for an appointment as advised by my pharmacist and was informed that the morning slots had gone and that I should call back at 1330 for the afternoon slots. I called at the stroke of 1330 and was informed by an automated service that I was 13th in the queue and that I should hold. When eventually I was answered by a receptionist I was told all the afternoon slots had gone and that I should phone in the morning. When I have been lucky enough in the past to get appointments I have not seen the same doctor and have recently received conflicting diagnoses and treatment. I was told by a member of the Glenlyn staff that the two partners now only popped in occasionally--and it shows. A friend of mine used to be a partner some time ago when it was the best practice in the area--it certainly isn't now. NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE

My family and I have had numerous problems with this GP. Whenever you go up there, you cannot guarantee which doctor you will see. A month or so ago I saw a new doctor, who told me she was going to be a permanent member of the practice now. I call back to make an appointment 2 weeks later to see her and I'm told she has left already. This has happened again and again over the past couple of years.

I suffer from type 1 diabetes and have to have blood taken quite regularly. I also have really small veins and arteries. The last time I went to have some blood taken, the phlebotomist asked me if I was a junkie because he couldn't get blood out of me! Safe to say, I took offense and now go to the hospital in Kingston if I need blood taken.

Sometimes the receptionists can be quite rude and obnoxious and when you make a complaint to the doctors or practice manager, they all refuse to talk, so the problems just get brushed under the carpet.

Recently my partner had an x-ray on his knees as he was suffering pain when jogging. He was told he would be phoned when the results came back. Several weeks later he called them to find out what was going on. Eventually they found out that the doctor should have called. The doctor eventually managed to call him back and said that he had 'wear and tear to his knees and to take exercise easy'. He made an appointment to see a doctor (which was a couple of weeks later - God help you if you're REALLY ill!) and when he went to see them he was told he had arthritis in both knees and not to run again - a bit more serious than the original doctor made out to him, wouldn't you say?

And to boot... I've just found out that I'm pregnant. As I mentioned before, I'm type 1 diabetic and have suffered from a traumatic miscarriage in the past. I rang and was told that, yes, i should come and see the doctor, but because it's the beginning of the summer holidays and some doctors are away and they're also very busy with other patients, they can't offer me an appointment for at least 2 weeks. I spoke to one of my health care specialists elsewhere and she said that she hadn't heard anything good regarding the Glenlyn Medical Centre and wouldn't send a dog there to die.

I plan to change my doctor to another practice very soon. I can only suggest that if you want good, professional and prompt healthcare in Molesey, you try elsewhere too.

I have been a patient at this practice for 64 years and in that time have been well looked after by two GPs. However in the last year since my GP retired I have not seen the same doctor twice. I have had appalling care from the practice whilst undergoing treatment for cancer - I make the following points:
1. Being refused a home visit and then having to phone 999 as I became neutrapenic
2. Having a urine sample taken by a receptionist and tested and then the results discussed in the reception area
3. Doctor ringing me at home unaware of the urine results and then having to go back to the surgery full of patients with chest infections and noro virus while I was neutrapenic again to collect a prescription - again I was in A&E within two hours of collection.
4. Doctor prescribing asthma medication whilst not being asthmatic
5. Inability to ever make an appointment on EMIS with the doctor who I have been told is my doctor to see me through my long term condition
6. Each time having to go through entire medical history- takes at least 5 minutes
I have had the most wonderful care from Kingston Hospital and The Marsden where staff at all levels are kind, caring and go out of their way to help. I was expecting similar from my GP practice. I believe, like many others in Molesey, that the practice should not be advertising for more patients until Senior Management put their house in order and offer existing patients a better service most particularly easy access to a doctor who will know their patients medical history and remain in the practice for longer than 6 months. Senior managers need to review the care given to patients with serious and long term conditions. No access to the most experienced doctors - because they carry out day surgery- so I have been told and this attracts better funding. Senior doctors must address the issues raised by patients and from the current survey outcomes the problems raised have not been sorted out by the dates that have been published.

Even 1 star is a lot. Horrible GP, inexperienced and rude receptionists. They never pick up the phone. Literally leave you to die. Very hard and impossible to book an appointment.
