After an accidental scald / burn I thought to seek advice from Teddington Walk in Clinic.
From the team at Reception to the Nurses I met, I found all welcoming, helpful and understanding.

My wound needed care, and for this I would like to thank Julie.
From the care, dressings and advice I received her support was most valuable. No question seemed too much trouble.

Told me that the week long symptoms that caused enough anguish to leave the house in a terrible state to make sure I wasn’t dying weren’t anything to worry about. I was in a semi delirious state and the nurse asked me to leave before even telling me where to pick up a prescription. When I asked at main reception what I was suppose to do as nothing had happened I was told that all nurses would have explained and told you where to go. I explained she didn’t and the receptionist said she would have done I just wasn’t listing, so when I said either way can I go back in and ask her, he said that’s not allowed. After realising he couldn’t send me away without the service I came for he said ‘oh just go back in’. Nurse apologised for not even bringing up the pharmacist and that the only 2 options I could have were not convenient or the closest to my address. I then found after choosing the least unreasonable option that on the return home to get the medication that this option hasn’t existed as a pharmacy for years. Furious now at my worsening condition for seemingly no help or caring I called the hospital back to explain the situation as I wasn’t well enough to go back and needed the antibiotics to stop me becoming a potential emergency risk. The same male receptionist said he recalled none of this and that nothing could be done but coming back which I outright refused and said this was completely unprofessional and acceptable, eventually I spoke to a lady who redirected the prescription to pharmacy on my road that I got 2mins later. Whole experience completely changed my attitude towards NHS and their subpar service and care in that institution for the general public. For context it was 8.30 in morning with 5 other people in whole of triage me by far being in the worse state and still being told that what I explained made no sense and couldn’t be as bad as that even though I’m not the medical expert and to not eat/stop being sick and have no nutrition for 7 days is worrying and shouldn’t be passed off as not knowing what I’m talking about or not to worry. I felt like the lady who gave herself a blood pressure exam at home and felt the need to come in and tell the staff about it before me had more of a serious and meaningful interaction than me and they basically told her she shouldn’t be wasting time doing that. Given everything that happened and how it just shouldn’t of in any way, shape or form to members of the public that pay for this service, I most likely would not go back there even if I was dying. Get health insurance or go further afield for health care than Teddington even if it is an emergency and even if you live in Teddington

Visited this facility 5 months ago with a swollen and painful left foot after trauma. The nurse at triage did not even bother looking at the foot and said 'no x-ray required'. I was directed to another nurse who prescribed painkillers and was informed that I had an infection in the foot. After a summer with a painful foot, I finally had the time to arrange an x-ray where I do have an old injury, a stress fracture.
I have taken 2 stars away due to the laziness of the triage nurse not to check the foot or arrange an x-ray and misdiagnosis. The rest of the staff were excellent and helpful.

Our visit today with an elderly relative was very pleasant. The staff were all very kind and helpful. It made you feel comfortable as soon as you walked in. She was seen after a very short time and treated. They always help you if they can. Thankyou.

I came in due to ongoing foot pain, I explained that around 2 weeks earlier I had someone on a scooter crash in to me and the scooter caused the injury to my foot, no x ray was done as I was told they do not do it after 2 weeks which was fine and I was discharged and told to just rest the foot etc. On the discharge summary to my doctors it stated someone had stood on my foot I think if someone had just stood on my foot I would not of even gone to a walk in as was highly unlikely any bone damage! I feel my injury was not taken seriously because they state I can walk on my foot etc. Having fractured my feet 3 times prior and needing an air cast I have walked on that as sometimes you just get on with things it doesn’t mean my injury shouldn’t be looked in to properly especially as someone full charged at me with the scooter and also stating my foot was stood on it seems the nurse was not even listening to me explaining how it occurred. Very disappointed and would like my discharge summary corrected as the lady at reception managed to take the accident/injury down correctly, making my own doctors think I took myself to a walk in because someone stood on my foot! Ridiculous.

As an in patient of this Geriatric hospital, I feel obliged to warn anyone who reads this.
Do not enter if you have the slightest suspicion your medical condition will deteriorate.
Simple things like ordering medical supplies take forever and nurses use their own initiative to cover.
The nursing standard at this hospital varies but the Sisters are all excellent.
Hospital policy is diabolical.
I was unfortunate enough to see a man in pain withwaiting a faulty in- dwelling catheter for 11 hours for a HATS van to take him to Kingston hospital.
I would have called a 999 ambulance instantly but junior night nursing staff had been told not to call proper ambulances.
I assume this was done for economic reasons rather than basic nursing staff wishing to cause the elderly man more pain.
The nurses run this hospital and it shows.
Hopefully Kingston will now manage it better.
Their are ZERO Doctors work there at night.
Considering it calls itself a hospital, a phlebotomist to take blood samples should be mandatory as infections and crp levels indicated in the blood are one of the foundations of modern medicine.
