A number of years ago I was involved in a serious car accident. I sustained a facial impact resulting in damage to my face including my eyes. I retained my eye sight but as time went by I developed early onset of cateracts due to the trauma. Luckily I was advised to see Dr Musa. At consultation I was impressed by the thorough examination I received and the surgical plan. I confidently undertook surgery and after an extremely short recovery I was amazed at the result. Better than 20/20 vision!
I certainly would not now trust anyone else other than Dr Musa with the health of my eyes.

Having had quite extreme myopia since a child, I have always hated wearing glasses and have worn contact lenses for over 30 years. My last eye check showed up cataracts developing in both eyes - so I discussed with my Optician about having prescription lenses fitted whilst having the cataracts removed. He recommended me to Dr Musa at Spire Elland.

Having already had an operation at Spire Elland a couple of years ago, I immediately knew that I would be looked after well. From my first meeting with Dr Musa, he filled me with hope and enthusiasm. He explained the full procedure and answered all my questions, even down to sketching a diagram to explain fully. My pre-op assessment gave me more time to ask questions and I was put at ease by Dr Musa’s knowledge and professionally competent friendly manner.

Left eye was operated in first and I was looked after amazingly by his team who were friendly and very professional. The day after I had a check up and Dr Musa assured me all was well. The next week I had the right eye operated on - again, friendly and professional people, it was clear they all loved their jobs, nothing was too much trouble.

The week after at the check up Dr Musa told me I had better than 20/20 vision and I was over the moon. I could also read almost normally too. After almost 64 years I can see better than I have ever done in my life and I really wish I had met with Dr Musa before and had the operations done years ago - it has really changed my life and opened up a whole new bright world which I am now eager to get out and explore.

I honestly can’t find the words to thank Dr Musa and his team enough. I certainly would recommend him for any eye problems and so glad that I put my trust in him for the cataract and prescription lens replacement. Thank you millions.

Dr Musa is a superbly professional individual and I found him to be very friendly and positive.

I suffer from retinitis pigmentosa and one element of this condition is that cataracts can develop at a younger age. My right eye was well overdue for surgery and as a result of this there were a few associated risks involved in the process.

Dr Musa was clear and professional throughout. He shared all the information which I needed to know quickly and clearly, making me feel at ease from our first meeting and taking into account the fact that my specific surgery could have complications. The final results of my surgery have been life changing and my vision is restored to a degree which is much higher than I ever expected. The process of the surgery itself was stress-free and the aftercare has been great.

At every stage I felt confident and secure with Dr Musa and his team: highly recommended.

For various reasons, my cataract problems had been left to become a more significant problem than they might have been. Once I had got to the point of dealing with my failing eyesight it was a great relief to be in Dr Musa's care. His assessment of the situation and plans to deal with me were reassuring and realistic. His confidence put me at ease throughout the procedures and he has a very friendly and engaging manner. At the end of it all, my eyesight is now better than I could have hoped for, and, particularly given the difficulties created by the fact that one of my cataracts had become so dense, which is further testament to Dr Musa's skills.
