Caller number 1 next in queue ? Waited 1 hour 30 minutes. This surgery makes mockeries of us all. Could have walked down 60 time's before someone answered the phone. If they were in a business to make money the first thing they would do was make it priority the phones worked properly . 2 years on they are not even concerned. Question who ever seen a person manning the phones which much be ringing all the time. The reception staff chat amongst themselves instead.

When you see someone in the practice, everything is great. However they keep issuing my prescriptions to a random company instead of sending them to me meaning I constantly have to chase them over and over again to get what I desperately need to treat my conditions.

Some of the doctors are lovely but that’s pointless when you can’t get to speak to one. It doesn’t matter what time you call, you’re going to be waiting an hour in a queue. In fact last time I tried I waited an hour, got to number 1, waited another 20 minutes then was cut off. This simply isn’t good enough, it’s terrifying to think of someone elderly and unwell having to navigate this awful system. Yet it’s been this way for years and is only getting worse. Whoever the practice manager is needs to step up and sort this out. Reintroduce sit and wait, the appointment system is completely broken. It does feel at this point like no one really cares.

Just to add - it seems the only way to get through to the surgery is to send a Patches request. But when you send one you get no response and then an email to say your request has been dealt with and closed. Appalling.

I was with this doctor's for 16 year luckily in the early days I didn't need the doctors as much as I do now ....
One experience was when I had a nose infection...The doctor I saw was with a trainee I don't know if they was showing off ... But started asking me if I got a lot of infections as she looked at my records and saw I was in a civil partnership.... Almost saying I should get a AIDS test ... She could of looked at my records and noticed I have not been there for 3 years .... I got a bit annoyed asked if they asked every straight patient the same questions ....
Second experience 3 weeks ago
I went for initial blood test due to hight blood pressure.... The results came back got message to talk to a doctor..... Usual stuff can't get through finally got to talk to a receptionist who was the most impolite person I have ever spoken to ... She said she had booked a appointment for 2 weeks to the day I phoned well you can guess I never got a call from the doctors on that day .... Turns out she didn't even make a appointment....
So I've changed doctors .... Could no be bothered with the shambles this surgery as turned into it's like you are bothering them when you phone or actually get a appointment they look at you like your something they have just stood in .... Absolute joke

A really awful surgery dragging down the reputation of an already struggling NHS. The staff have zero empathy... You could be on deaths door and they would not care.

I phoned this morning and call connected immediately and I was caller no 4. I thought this is great I should be able to get an appointment now. 20 mins later I was still on hold so I walked round to the surgery whilst still on hold and asked the receptionist if she could explain what is happening with the phone lines. She said they didn't have enough GP's working today and she was dealing with all calls and trying to rebook an absent nurses appointment too. I asked if there was now any available appointments in order for me to continue wasting my time waiting in the queue. She said there wasn't and only bookable appointment would be on 3rd July. I appreciate that the surgery is busy but this system is an absolute joke and I can understand why people complain. I don't know if the surgery manager looks at these reviews but please can a better system be put in place. Its bad enough being ill without having to put up with all this drama.

Phoned today to book a follow up telephone appointment with GP at his request.
Was told nothing available and have to phone tomorrow when the next appointments are released. Advised I was previously told , when I phoned a couple of weeks ago, that appointments can only be booked 2 weeks in advance. Now told appointments are released on Tuesdays.
What on earth is going on. Nothing this practice does seems to make any sense and is definitely not in the interest of the patient.
It would have been a lot easier if the GP had booked the follow up himself rather than expecting the patient to jump through hoops.
The entire system need a radical shake up to factor in the needs of the patients rather than the staff

I wouldn't even give them one star if i didn't have to. Its the worst Dr's surgery I ever been in,, a coulple of the receptionist are nice, but theres a few thats nasty ones. But it not the reseptionists I have a problem with, it's a few Dr's well infeact 3 of them, the first was Dr Ball who was extremely rude to me on a few occasions, because I was overweight, he said to me most time I went (It's no wonder you feeling ill, he look at you just look at the state of you. and that was it no examination just go home and lose weight, and so I stop going to him and went to another Dr at the sane practices that was Dr Bellerby she was really nice at first, but then when I was feeling a lot iller, she started to tell me there was nothing wrong with me, also kept going to ask Dr Gardener for her opinion and she said the same I even went to her on a couple of occasions, she said still to be told the same. Then the last time I went to see her, she said there is nothing wrong with you, you it's all in your head, you have medical anxiety, and there is nothing medical wrong with you. But there was 1 month after see them I went to see Dr Lee who was lovely and spent a lot of time with me going through everything with me and said to me I suspect you have Parkinson's he said he's not aloud to diagnose it but he was sure it was parkinson's, he said I had to have it diagnosed by a neurologist and that he would refer me to one straight away, which he did, and and I got an appointment within a few weeks, I went to the hospital have MRI scan and then i went to see a neurologist, who told me I had Parkinson's ,witch came ss a shock, i but I got used to the idea, but I disided to get on with my life the best I could, but 4 years later my symptoms were getting worse quicker than they should be so my noruoligist did some more tests and it came back that I have MSA a rare brain disease that incurable, I was devastated, but the thing that got to me was the first symptom of this disease, was what I was going to Dr Bellerby and Dr Gardener about.
The only good thing to come out of that medical practice is Dr Lee, but he's a lovely Dr with a lot of patience and very thorough a really nice man.
