My experience has not been good as a volunteer. Signed up for trials which were postponed multiple times. The last time, I waited three months for a trial which was postponed twice a matter of days before the screening appt (they recruit people before they have the go ahead) and then when it finally did go ahead, I failed because of an issue that could have been easily been avoided in the first place. A disappointment and a waste of time. My impression is their priority are the trials and not the volunteers.

AVOID COMPLETELY! Took me 4 hours and a taxi ride £20 on top to get there just to get told no……First time at the place. Poor very Poor for people who have busy life’s and poor with technology they don’t give you a booklet of the study they expect everything read online and watch a video before hand and when you haven’t read the online study they fail you. they don’t give you a chance to read the study before you see doctor and he doesn’t tell you anything about the study in the meeting definitely go to Fortrea there the best. Seems lazy to me at least Fortrea go through the study with you and read it to you before you commit to it. I’ve been a clinical volunteer for 10 years I’m well aware of the risks or I wouldn’t be doing it in first place and if it’s too risky you shouldn’t be giving it out in first place without 100s of tests pets and humans 😑 very disappointing 4 hours more to get home cheers guys OH AND OH AND IF YOU FAIL THE SCREENING YOU GOTTA WAIT 6 WEEKS TO GET YOUR TRAVEL BACK 🤪

Do not come here, just for something very minor they do not let you participate in their trials, there are better clinical units in the UK, like HMR in London or GSK in Cambridge, do not waste your time coming here. With the same very small blood abnormality i participated in 3 clinical trials in the UK, but with this company nobody it is good enough, i think you need to be superman or some kind of superhuman to get into one of their trials. One more thing, you don't need to have a girlfriend cause if you have one and you told them that you have one they treat you like a criminal, so better not telling them.

Received an email about a particular study. I phoned up & booked a screening about a month before the start date. 4 days before the screening they rescheduled it. Then 3 days before the new screening date & 11 days before the admission date they cancelled the whole trial because they “didn’t have the correct approvals”. Was notified by email. You’d think the trial would be approved & paperwork would be sorted way in advance of screening dates.

Update: the study was reposted a month later. Booked on for a screening. 4 days before, surprise surprise screening dates rescheduled because they’ve not received approvals again! So unprofessional! tired of being messed around. Bet the trial ends up cancelled again.

Many of the young staff are courteous and respectful but I felt some of the senior nurses ( and doctors) are dismissive and condescending. I've been on a trial day once and I had to wait hours only to found out ( after my prompting the doc and nurses) that I wasn't gonna get dosed. I feel I was treated like an outcast as they were trying to hurry me to leave the premises asap!

Great experience here as usual, the staff are just next level brilliant, they work so hard but still manage to remain friendly and personable! The wards are OK, but the bathrooms in wards 1 and 3 need updating and extra loo needed with the amount of people they have in there. Would still return and recommend to friends.

Received a email days before my week long trial telling me it was cancelled. Despite me restricting my diet medicine and exercise for 2 weeks, despite me having already booked time away from work. To tell me just mere days ahead in an email is really disrespectful.

My experience there was very good, until they decide that maybe i am diabetic, and took me out of the panel. i send to them a letter from GP that i am not diabetic and i am not take any medication for that but they didn't accept it. Now i am registered with 4 companies for trials, and this time i am writing i am in a middle of 12 days trial in London
