They used to allow you to queue up early in the morning to get a face to face appointment. Today, after being off work for two days, I dragged myself down to the surgery to try and get one. They just came outside to tell me they could only make appointments over the phone now. I phoned and was in a queue of 24 people. By the time I got through I was told all appointments were gone. I could book a face to face appointment for some time in March, or get a phone call back in 3 days time from a different surgery. Alternatively, I could phone in the morning again and enter the same stupid lottery. Healthcare should not be down to chance. If they can't offer appointments to patients from the loca area, they are oversubscribed. There has to be a better offer for people who are ill NOW than to have the wait days to even speak to someone about what's wrong with them.

Utterly useless and rude reception staff. Makes the fact you have decent GPs there pointless when the receptionists are so awful.

Great team all around. Lovely reception team, and doctors and nurses give excellent care. Happy to have found the e-consult option, as yes tricky getting through on the phones, like most surgeries.

We been going to this surgery for over 40 years and cannot fault them from the receptionists there who are always as accommodating as they can be whilst being friendly, to the doctors who are excellent and attentive and 9/10 times you get to see the same one, so continuity is good.
So all in all a 5 * review for ease of getting through (keep pressing that button), call backs when they say they will, nurse appointments upstairs never a problem, reception staff and doctors thanyou for an excellent service.

A wonderful practice full of helpful staff and excellent doctors. I share some frustration with the person who posted about getting appointments but I would say that this is a fairly common practice and I feel that it is a real shame they felt the need to give a one star rating purely based on this. Do not be put off if you are considering joining, my experience is that this is a very good surgery. Thank you and keep up the good work.

Aside from the normal (frustrating) waiting time to get trought to someone in the morning to book an appointment ... if you're lucky to get trough (sort of expected from a GP Surgery nowadays), the rest is good. Staff if friendly, all GP's are quite good but my favourite GP Dr Phadnis is the main reason why we chose to stay in this Surgery. He is VERY human, professional, caring, and kind (could not speak highly enough).

Got blood tests here, easy to book, lots of times available, really nice phlebotomist.
But booking an appointment with a gp is really stressful and inaccessible. To book online you have to register with a different service (nowhere on the website says how). Booking in person had a month wait before the first available appointment.
The way you're meant to book is to call in the morning and hope they have space for you that day. Horrible, stressful, uncertain.
Go to WellBN instead
