Canā€™t complain at all! Refreshing to enter a quiet, friendly surgery. Receptionist was super friendly and seen almost immediately by the lovely nurse Carolyn. I came from
Shelley Rd surgery that was always so busy with long wait times so Iā€™m very happy to be here. Thank you ladies.

I can only say my experiences with Barn Surgery have been nothing but incredible. Dr Bird has been a blessing helping, home visiting my 90 year old mother and giving 1st class treatment, care and needed quick referrals to the right Drs/consultants she has needed, I must thank her for her caring, thoughtful mindset, Andrew Bridges

Probably one of the most uncomfortable experiences. I visited to re register and had a tall blonde lady come from an upstairs office with the rudest most degrading attitude telling me she knows I donā€™t live in The UK when I do and have done since I was born. I donā€™t think Iā€™ve ever been spoken to like that in my life. And thank you to the receptionist who apologised on her behalf after I left very upset.

Called obo a patient registered at Barn Surgey this morning. I was absolutely shocked at the what I thought to be was a hostile and unfriendly receptionist. I was merely asking for some help for the patient who is very ill and very fragile. From other people registered at this surgery they all seem to feel the sameā€¦. Hostile ā€¦.

Awful experience at the Barn. SO many medical mistakes were made not just with myself but also with mother. There were errors in her medication, errors in how much she should be taking etc ā€¦. I also experienced many errors which almost lead to me to be hospitalised due to the surgery not knowing about my asthma, even though they had been writing prescriptions for around a year and a half for my pumps. When I explained I was asthmatic they said I wasnā€™t and thought I was making it up! The reception staff are beyond rude and they too made many many mistakes which lead to further complications for medications etc. The surgery also lied to me about putting in prescriptions to the pharmacy, they said they had done it but they hadnā€™t. We were also told due to my motherā€™s illness the doctor didnā€™t want to see her. They lost MANY many documents, didnā€™t sign certain forms which have incidentally cause many other issues.
Like others have said my review disappeared. They are definitely deleting poor reviews.
I would definitely stay as far away as you can from this surgery.

Strangely, any negative reviews that were previously here seem to have vanished.

My experience is not positive like the selectively kept reviews on google. The nurses are fantastic. Thatā€™s it. The GPā€™s are about the worst I have ever experienced. Incorrect probable diagnosis. 24 hrs of panic to have a receptionist call with the positive result but unable to explain, understandably the medical terms on the report. Canā€™t speak to to the GP. Unavailable. Absolutely no care or compassion.

Never on time, no apologies for delay, particularly when you know they are not with another patient. No home visits, despite being bedridden anda carer for an elderly parent with dementia. Having a friend call on your behalf because you have a chest infection to exacerbate COPD. When the GP speaks and realises you have lost your voice he suggests calling when you feel better.

So arrogant.

The worst surgery EVER. If I canā€™t transfer to another NHS surgery Iā€™ll be going private. Sad to say that to get people that care Iā€™ll have to pay!

Iā€™m sorry to say Iā€™ve had countless bad experiences with this surgery and one GP in particular. Makes you feel like a burden and annoyed that youā€™ve called. Very dismissive and get the feeling that theyā€™re not interested in their patients welfare. Sad to see a previously well respected surgery gaining such a bad name.

Have been with this surgery for 30 years, with the previous husband and wife GP team and the current GPs. As a family we have always been extremely well looked after and are very grateful to have the Barn surgery in our village. The Ward Family.
