I used to be very impressed with Day Lewis Burton but in recent months, the service has gone downhill quite drastically, especially as since the young man who worked behind the counter left. His replacement, a fairly young woman, is moody, unhelpful & seemingly cannot be bothered, going as far as to ignore customers when they ask her a question (witnessed by myself - he asked her a specific question and she literally turned her back & walked away!) The service is now appalling with prescriptions taking at least a week to fulfil then when you do go to pick it up, it’s wrong or something is missing then they try to blame the customer by suggesting you’ve already collected some of it - I think I’d have remembered! ‘ARE YOU SURE?’ I was then asked - Erm, YES! I’m not STUPID!
My goodness, it’s SHOCKING! Misplacing important medications then trying to blame the customer TWO MONTHS IN A ROW!
I live in Burton but have now changed my nominated pharmacy to one that is over a mile away as I’m just fed up with having to chase after my prescription month after month IN PERSON as nobody ever answers the phone then having to deal with grumpy, offhand service, misplaced medications & being treated like I’m a pain in the rear end who suffers with amnesia!!!

I agree that the service has gone down hill
but please don't blame the pharmacy after heart surgery and a stroke my medication is now vital and some medicines have been missed but it is if fact the drs mistake I put my prescription in a week before is due and on 2occasions has not been sent from the surgery and on one occasion when I went to surgery to enquire what was going on with my prescription it was still at surgery and after a week had still not been sent over .both times the staff were very helpful in helping me to obtain them quickly.medication is now a priority with drs closing so the pharmacist is now in high demand and are working very hard to fill demand so please give them credit where credit is due

This pharmacy is a lifeline in our village especially now the local surgery has closed. I have no complaints and value having a local chemist for my monthly prescriptions. They get so busy and have to deal with complaints about what the GP has sent over for prescribing. I and many others value this service and miss Max very much. He always went the extra mile to help and welcomed regular customers by name.
