Was a patient here until I recently changed practice due to poor care, I made a complaint to the practice manager in September and was told I would receive a response by the end of the month, end of September heard nothing so I chased the manager again, end of October still nothing, chased the manager again, end of November still nothing. The Dr's here seem to shun you if your young and think that nothing is wrong with you, like young people don't die!
Used to be a great gp surgery!

Still a good surgery overall, but downgrading to 3 stars. Service has declined in the last year in terms of communication and patient service. In particular, the prescription ordering service has become somewhat unreliable, and my wife and I have had trouble 3 or 4 times now, despite requesting repeat prescriptions in good time, as per surgery guidelines. The first time it happened, there was no apology and staff tried to push the blame on me for not ordering in time, when it had clearly not been processed until I got on the phone to chase it up!
UPDATE Nov ’24: I'm still waiting for notification of my latest prescription having ordered it 10 days ago, a week before it was due to run out.

UPDATE: thanks to Lynn(e) who helped resolve the issue with text messages.

We feel very privileged to have access to such a wonderful practice. The reception staff are all lovely and the antithesis of the stereotypical ‘strident gatekeeper’ reputation that reception staff often have. They are kind and sympathetic and so friendly. The medical staff are quite simply amazing, Dr Keene is a wonderful GP, the gold standard of doctors, kind, patient and reassuring. We feel so grateful to the Leith Hill Practice and it’s lovely staff.

We cannot thank ALL of you enough at The Old Forge Surgery for looking after Heather Keen in her last few weeks of her life. Especially in these very difficult times of COVID where everyone has had to change work and personal life to deal with it.
She has been with your practice for most of her life and has always been given outstanding care over the years, especially latterly.
The biggest thank you goes to Dr Louse Keene, who really pulled out all the stops and got everything in place, regarding care, personal visits, paperwork, fast tracking drugs and district Nurses. Not only to support Heather, but also myself and Richard. We appreciate wholeheartedly how much you have done for us.
